To the Editor, The Indian Medicai, Gazette. Sir,?With reference to Dr. Gopal Singh Chawal's letter in the correspondence columns of your issue for May 1927, with regard to arthritis as a complication of small-pox, 1 wish to say that arthritis as a complication cf small-pox is neither very rare nor unheard of. I have myself seen four such cases in a village of population 8,000 in Ramnad District of the Madras Presidency, and I have reason to believe that there were further similar cases in the village.
